What happened to DissoMaster

DissoMaster was California support software from CFLR, part of The Rutter Group, a Thomson Reuters business. Thomson Reuters discontinued it on March 31, 2025, and did not renew its Judicial Council certification. For years it was the default tool for guideline child support and temporary spousal support in California, running as Windows desktop software with a limited iPad app.

The Judicial Council’s list of certified guideline calculators was last updated August 10, 2026, and DissoMaster is not on it. Judicial Council certified calculator list

Frequently asked questions

Is DissoMaster still available?

No. Thomson Reuters discontinued DissoMaster on March 31, 2025. It is no longer sold, and its California Judicial Council certification lapsed the same day. The Judicial Council’s list of certified guideline calculators, last updated August 10, 2026, does not include DissoMaster. California practitioners who need a certified guideline number now choose a calculator from that list.

What replaced DissoMaster in California?

No single program replaced it. The Judicial Council certifies guideline support calculators each year, and five are certified through March 31, 2027: Cal Support and CalSupport Pro, the California Child Support Guideline Calculator from DCSS, Family Law Software, FamilySoft SupportCalc, and Xspouse. Any of them can be used in most cases. Cases handled by a local child support agency must use the DCSS calculator.

Is there a free DissoMaster calculator for California?

No. DissoMaster was paid software sold to professionals, and it has been discontinued. The California Department of Child Support Services offers a free public guideline calculator on its website, and it is on the Judicial Council’s certified list. Any calculator gives an estimate only. A judge sets the final support amount in your case.

Is SecureSplit certified by the California Judicial Council?

No. SecureSplit is not on the Judicial Council’s certified calculator list. SecureSplit is built for the financial work around a divorce case, including intake, asset division, pension valuation, and settlement modeling.

Does SecureSplit work on a Mac?

Yes. SecureSplit runs in a web browser, so it works on Mac and Windows computers with nothing to install. DissoMaster ran only on Windows, with a limited iPad app.

Regarding California Rule of Court 5.275

SecureSplit® does not automatically compute state or federal income tax liability. Tax figures are entered directly by the licensed professional using verified data from their own source. As confirmed in writing by the Judicial Council of California, this means SecureSplit® is not subject to the CPA Statement requirement under Rule 5.275, and certification under that rule is not required.

Your SecureSplit® outputs are court-ready in California. The professional controls every tax input and assumption that goes into the calculation.
